Approximately 50% of the mail produced is office mail i.e. letters, invoices, statements, quotes, etc, and 50% direct marketing mail. Maileva was launched in France in 2002, and BTB Mailflight, the company behind the UK launch was established in 1969.

Maileva was developed by Docapost, a La Poste Group company, in Europe in 2002
Maileva is a solution developed by Docapost in Europe in 2002. Docapost specialises in document management and delivery of printed documents by mail and online and produces over 1.5 billion printed pages a year. Their 4600 specialists manages the print flows of 10,000 customers including:
- Large corporates (50% of the CAC i.e. banks, retailers, and utilities companies)
- Medium size companies
- Public organisations such as government, schools, and hospitals

BTB Mailflight was chosen to launch Maileva in the UK in 2010 as BTB Mailflight and Docapost are both part of the La Poste Group, Europe’s second largest postal operator with turnover of €21 billion in 2010.
BTB Mailflight Ltd is La Poste Group's largest UK operation with approximately 200 people working in 110,000 sq ft facilities and generating £25 million turnover. With the technology expertise of Docapost, and BTB Mailflight’s print, fulfillment and postal expertise in the UK this has enabled us to develop the most sophisticated and experienced hybrid mail solution in the UK market today.
Established in 1969 BTB Mailflight is one of the UK's leading domestic and international mailing, fulfilment, and print companies, with a Mailing House and an Order Fulfilment Centre both located in Bedford, and another mail processing operation near Heathrow. Although we are part of the La Poste Group with headquarters in Paris BTB Mailflight’s Senior Management Board remains in place, 50% of the team have worked for the company for more than ten years, and most members of the team have worked for BTB Mailflight for over five years. Our overall staff retention rates are also very high.
